The much-anticipated clash between Australia and South Africa in cricket is set for tomorrow.

Details: Ahead of the championship match, the Proteas’ official X (formerly Twitter) page unveiled their starting XI for the showdown against Australia.

It is confirmed that Temba Bavuma will lead the side onto the London pitch, donning the captain’s armband.

Heading into the final, Australia tops the ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings, with South Africa holding the second spot.

The Proteas are making their WTC final debut, while Australia are the reigning champions, having claimed the title against India in 2023.

In May 2025, the ICC announced the prize pool for the final: the champions will take home $3.6 million, while the runners-up will receive $2.16 million.
