A highly controversial incident occurred in the Olympic fan zone on the outskirts of Paris.
According to RMC Sport, fans had difficulty watching the games due to the damage of two fiber-optic cables that were responsible for the broadcasts.
Initially, law enforcement could not determine the cause of the issue. However, after reviewing surveillance footage, they reached an unexpected conclusion—the cables were damaged by a marten.
As a result, two new fiber-optic cables had to be laid, and the broadcast was eventually restored.
Additionally, it was reported today that a Paraguayan swimmer was expelled from the Olympic Village.
