Solid reinforcement. Ime Okon may join Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs are gearing up for a major squad overhaul ahead of the new season, which promises to be action-packed. Although the club failed to qualify for the next MTN8 campaign, their Nedbank Cup triumph has secured them a spot in an international tournament.
In light of this, the Amakhosi management are actively seeking reinforcements in the transfer market, particularly targeting young players with Premier Soccer League experience.
The Chiefs are currently negotiating with 23-year-old left-back Afive Baliti from SuperSport United, and now, according to Unplayable, another player from the same club may join him—Ime Okon. The defender will become a free agent this summer as his contract expires on June 30, 2025.
Ime Okon is regarded as one of South Africa's most promising footballers. This winter, he was close to moving to Dynamo Kyiv, and he recently made his debut for the South African national team in the COSAFA Cup.
