COSAFA Cup 2025: Schedule, results and tournament standings

The Angola national team triumphed over South Africa in the COSAFA Cup final. In the third-place playoff, Comoros proved stronger than Madagascar.

This tournament has been held annually since 1997, bringing together the national teams of Southern Africa. The competition is organized by the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA).

The cup was established in 1996 following the lifting of sanctions on South Africa and the hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations in the country.

This year's edition will take place from June 4 to June 15, marking the 24th time the COSAFA Cup has been contested. The matches will be hosted in Mangaung (Bloemfontein). The reigning champions are Angola, who will be looking to defend their crown.

The most decorated team in tournament history is Zambia, with seven titles to their name. Zimbabwe has claimed six gold medals, while South Africa has five.
