In the fifth round of the UEFA Champions League, Slovan Bratislava hosted AC Milan, and the home team's midfielder achieved a rare feat during the game.
Details: Midfielder Marko Tolić received a yellow card in the 90th minute, and just one minute later, he picked up a second yellow, leading to his ejection from the match. What makes this incident unique, according to OptaJoe, is that Tolić became the first player since Arturo Vidal in the UEFA Champions League to be sent off for two yellow cards stemming from arguments with the referee.
The last time this happened was in November 2020, during a match between Inter and Real Madrid.
Reminder: Julián Álvarez recently repeated his iconic Spider-Man goal celebration in a match against Sparta. Our team previously explained the meaning behind it.
