Slot replacement? Liverpool in talks with another Dutch coach

Arne Slot’s coaching staff could soon receive a familiar boost.

Details: According to the Krrish channel on social media X, Liverpool’s management is currently in negotiations with 42-year-old Dutch specialist John Heitinga.

Reports indicate that Heitinga may return to Arne Slot’s coaching staff and once again serve as his assistant.

Talks have already taken place, but no final decision has been made yet. According to sources, Heitinga’s return is an initiative from Slot himself.

Heitinga previously worked at Liverpool from 2024 to 2025. In July 2025, he left Liverpool to take charge of Ajax, but was dismissed in October that same year. From January to February 2026, Heitinga was part of Tottenham’s coaching staff, but quickly departed from the team once again.
