On Tuesday, June 3, a friendly match took place between the South Africa and Zambia women's national teams.
The game unfolded confidently for South Africa. The hosts controlled the tempo throughout, but managed to break the deadlock only towards the end. In the 74th minute, Bongeka Hamade opened the scoring, and just eight minutes later, Jermaine Seoposenwe doubled the lead. The result — a convincing 2-0 victory.
This marks the sixth consecutive win for the South Africa women's national team. So far in 2025, the squad remains unbeaten.
Next up for South Africa are fixtures in the 2025 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. The team will compete in a group alongside Ghana, Tanzania, and Mali. Their opening match is scheduled for July 7.
