Six Messi T-shirts from the 2022 World Cup will be sold for a record amount

Six of Lionel Messi's 2022 World Cup shirts will be auctioned at Sotheby's in New York. A T-shirt from the final match of the world championship against France is among them.
According to Daily Mail, the auction organizers plan to earn more than 8 million pounds sterling (more than $10 million) from the sale.
If the auction is successful, the amount will be the largest ever for sports merchandise, surpassing Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls jersey from Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals. It fetched £8.1 million ($10.15 million) last year.
"The sale of these six shirts will mark a milestone in the history of auctions, offering fans and collectors the opportunity to connect with Messi's greatest achievement," auction organizers said in a statement.
Interestingly, a certain amount of the proceeds will be donated to help the Sant Joan de Déu (SJD) children's hospital in Barcelona through the UNICAS project.
Let us remind you that Messi received the Ballon d'Or for 2022.
