Siwelele FC coach Lehlohnolo Seema gives his verdict of Kaizer Chiefs duo of Samkelo Zwane and Happy Mashiane
Lehlohonolo Seema has given his verdict of Samkelo Zwane and Happy Mashiane.
The Siwelele FC coach said the pair, who were on loan from Kaizer Chiefs, have it takes to be successful footballers but needed to be in right space mentally.
Zwane and Mashiane are Amakhosi development products who failed to live up to expectations at Chiefs and they were loaned out to Siwelele.
But they did not do well enough to earn a return to Chiefs and Siwelele have been vocal about only signing if they are free agents.
Seema, the coach of the Bloemfontein-based side, have given a breakdown of the duo's stay at the Betway Premiership club.
"Mashiane and Zwane, good players, everybody would love to have them, they are good players with a lot of potential, natural talent. However, I said to them also they have not been playing where they were, they came to a place where I was looking for players who are ready. Unfortunately it took them long, I called them in my office both of them, they know what I said to them, hopefully they took my words," Seema said on 947's MSW.
"It's like you were there, we're living in social media times and sometimes when players see numbers hammering the coach, they think 'maybe I'm good'. I always told my players that I'm not here to coach your attitude, your commitment and your discipline, that's not me.
“A lot of our players are struggling with what they hear from outside, they come with it, you will see some players, just because he was on the front page, I'm not saying them but in general. That is why our players will forever remain as potentials.”
It's still not clear if Zwane and Mashiane will return to Chiefs or they will be allowed to leave Naturena.
