Today, November 25th, marked the second semifinal match of the 2023 Davis Cup Finals held on indoor hard courts in Malaga, Spain.

The Italian team unexpectedly defeated the Serbian team led by Djokovic. The fate of the encounter was determined in the doubles match.

Initially, Kecmanovic defeated Musetti in three sets, and Djokovic was expected to seal the match. However, Novak lost to Jannik Sinner, who acknowledged the Serb for a previous defeat in the ATP Finals a week ago.

Ultimately, it all came down to the doubles match, where Sinner and Sonego defeated Djokovic and Kecmanovic in two sets.

The Italians reached the Davis Cup final for the first time since 1998 and will face the Australian team, which defeated the Finns in the semifinals.
