After the defeat in the UEFA Champions League final, Inter fans were hit with another blow—Simone Inzaghi is leaving the club.
Updated: Inter has officially confirmed that Simone Inzaghi is leaving the club. With the Nerazzurri, he won six titles, including Serie A in the 2023/24 season. He also played in two Champions League finals in the last three seasons.
Details: Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Inter head coach will sign a contract with Al Hilal this week, delivering his trademark "Here we go!" The deal is set for three years and offers the Italian a lucrative salary.
Earlier, we reported that on Tuesday, June 3, Inzaghi met with Inter's management and, following that meeting, made his final decision about his future.
Recall: At Giuseppe Meazza, at least three candidates have already been identified to replace Inzaghi as Inter's head coach. Among them are Como boss Cesc Fàbregas, Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi, and former Inter defender Cristian Chivu, who is currently in charge of Parma.
