One of the team's most seasoned players will remain for at least another year.

Details: The Amakhosi management is determined to keep 31-year-old midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa in the squad, despite recent rumors about his possible departure.

According to the portal The South Africa, the club has already taken the initiative to offer the midfielder a new two-year deal.

Negotiations are believed to have started about two weeks ago, but while there is no clarity yet, the outlook for a contract extension is quite positive.

"Yes, he didn't start particularly well under coach Nasreddine Nabi. We think he didn't quite understand him. But now they're satisfied with him, and that's why they're offering a two-year contract. If everything goes well and they agree on the new terms, it will kick in next year and run through June 2028," revealed a club insider.

Last season, Sibongiseni Mthethwa made just 18 appearances and did not register any goal contributions.
