Manchester City are preparing an offer that could blow the final days of the transfer window wide open.

Details: According to Argentine journalist Gastón Edul, Manchester City are set to offer Chelsea between £130 million and £140 million for Enzo Fernández, with the bid expected between today and tomorrow. At the current exchange rate, that range is approximately €152–164 million.

The report comes as the transfer saga surrounding the 25-year-old midfielder gathers serious momentum. Fabrizio Romano has also reported that Manchester City intend to submit a formal bid before the end of the window, while Fernández has opened the door to a move.

Chelsea's position remains crucial. The London club are prepared to consider a sale only if the financial terms are right and they have an opportunity to improve their squad. Earlier reports placed Chelsea's valuation at around £120 million, meaning the figure reported by Edul would go considerably higher.

Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca knows Fernández well from their time together at Chelsea and is pushing to reunite with the Argentine midfielder. Fernández remains a Chelsea player, with his contract running until June 2032.

It is worth noting that Transfermarkt currently values the Argentina World Cup winner at €90 million.
