After successfully defending his WBC lightweight world title, Shakur Stevenson has thrown down the gauntlet to Ukrainian Vasiliy Lomachenko.

In Newark, USA, Stevenson defeated German challenger Artem Harutyunyan by unanimous decision.

"Tell Loma to fight me. Wouldn't that be a fun fight? We'll step into the ring and try to beat each other. If it's made, it will be a cool fight. Technically, it should be a good fight.

Many are saying Lomachenko would beat him, he wouldn't be able to stop this guy. Maybe many don't believe in me. So why not make this fight? But he doesn't want to fight," Stevenson told Boxing News 24.

In his last bout in May, Ukrainian Lomachenko defeated Australian George Kambosos, securing the vacant IBF lightweight world title.
