The situation is becoming increasingly serious for the Real Madrid defender.

Details: The judge of Criminal Court No. 5 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has rejected the defense's request to dismiss the case. As a result, the Real Madrid defender, along with three former academy players of the Madrid club, will stand trial in September.

The case revolves around an intimate video recorded in 2023 in Gran Canaria without the consent of two girls, one of whom was a minor at the time.

According to the prosecution, Raúl Asencio received the video on his phone and allegedly showed it to a third party. The footballer is specifically accused of violating the right to privacy. Charges of distributing child pornography have been brought against the other three defendants.

The defense challenged the legality of the seizure of the accused's mobile phones and sought to exclude evidence obtained from the devices. However, the judge dismissed all motions, so the trial will proceed as scheduled.

Asencio has previously denied any wrongdoing, emphasizing that he neither recorded nor sent the intimate video. Until a verdict is reached, the footballer remains presumed innocent.

Reminder: That's it! Real Madrid star leaves the club.
