Former Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos is interested in acquiring the club, but the current shareholders are reportedly unwilling to reopen negotiations with him.

Details: According to El Chiringuito, Sevilla’s shareholders have no intention of returning to the negotiating table with their former player. Instead, they are currently holding discussions with several investment funds and are expected to reach an agreement with one of them in the coming days.

As for Sergio Ramos, he has returned to Madrid and continues to wait for an opportunity to restart negotiations. However, the club’s shareholders are reportedly not inclined to pursue talks with the former Spain international at this stage.

We recently reported that the takeover bid from a consortium led by Sergio Ramos for the purchase of Sevilla had fallen through. The parties reached a deadlock during the final phase of negotiations.

Reminder: 36-year-old César Azpilicueta, a defender for Sevilla FC and the Spain national football team, announced that he will retire from football at the end of the season.
