Palm City Football Club, based in Dubai, is aiming to bring in world-class stars.
Details: According to insider Rudy Galetti, the club's management has included former Chelsea and England winger Raheem Sterling on its shortlist. At the moment, the club is actively gathering information about the possibility of signing the 31-year-old as a free agent.
However, Raheem is not the only target for the Dubai side. The club is also closely monitoring the situation surrounding Mario Götze. The man who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final is currently playing for Eintracht Frankfurt, but Palm City sees him as the perfect addition to their attacking line as they pursue their ambitious goals in the UAE championship.
Official negotiations could kick off soon, once the players' representatives have reviewed the proposed terms.
Reminder: Chelsea and West Ham are under investigation. The Football Association has charged the clubs in connection with a mass brawl.
