The Magpies will have to find a replacement for their Brazilian midfielder in tomorrow's match.
Details: At today's pre-match press conference, Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe confirmed that the team's 29-year-old Brazilian midfielder Joelinton will miss tomorrow's Champions League matchday 8 fixture against PSG due to a groin injury.
According to Howe, the Brazilian will be sidelined for several weeks after sustaining a groin injury during Sunday's Premier League game against Aston Villa.
The Newcastle coaching staff have yet to decide who will start in Joelinton's place, but are hopeful that fellow Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães will recover his fitness in time and be available for the match.
At the moment, Newcastle sit 7th in the overall Champions League standings with 13 points — the same tally as their opponents tomorrow.
This season, Joelinton has made 29 appearances for Newcastle, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist.
