Serious blow. Bayern loses Manuel Neuer

Manuel was absent from team training due to health issues.

Details: As became known today, 39-year-old Bayern Munich goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer missed team training because of intestinal problems.

Reports indicate that Neuer has come down with a gastrointestinal infection and will be forced to miss at least one match, which is already scheduled for tomorrow against Freiburg in Bundesliga matchday 11.

There is no exact timeline for Neuer's recovery yet, but it is expected that the effects will not be serious and Manuel should be back in action within a week.

This season, Neuer has played 14 matches for Bayern, keeping a clean sheet in 6 of them.
