Serie A newcomer sets his sights on another star player

After more than 20 years, the Italian club Como has returned to Serie A. In light of this, the club's management has been actively working on the transfer market to strengthen the team. Their first move was appointing the legendary Cesc Fàbregas as head coach. Following this, they signed the renowned defender from Real Madrid and Manchester United, Raphaël Varane.
The team does not intend to stop there and has set its sights on another star player. According to Nicola Schira, the newly promoted Serie A club is aiming to lure former Manchester United, Lyon, Barcelona, and Atlético Madrid forward Memphis Depay.
Currently, the Dutch striker has turned down the offer. Depay is likely waiting for more appealing options, given that he has left Atlético and is a free agent.
Meanwhile, Como has started working on signing another former Manchester United player, Anthony Martial.
It remains uncertain which club Memphis Depay will choose, but it is possible that if he does not receive any interesting offers, he might consider trying his luck in Italy.
