Serhou Guirassy becomes the first African to score a hat-trick against Barça in the Champions League

Thanks to this hat-trick, Guirassy became the first African player to score three goals against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. Furthermore, no one has scored more against Barça this season than Serhou: including the group stage encounter, the Guinean scored five goals against the Catalans in one season. Remarkably, apart from Guirassy, no other Dortmund player scored against Barcelona this season.

This hat-trick also propelled Serhou to the top of the UEFA Champions League Golden Boot race. However, with Rafinha, Robert Lewandowski, and many other potential semifinalists still in the tournament, Guirassy's tally of 13 goals could be surpassed.

Let us remind you, the Champions League quarterfinal duel between Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund ended 5-3 on aggregate in favor of the Catalans. In the semifinals, they will face the winner of the Bayern Munich - Inter Milan matchup.
