Legendary Spanish defender Sergio Ramos has decided to leave Sevilla after one year with the team.

In the 2023/24 season, the 37-year-old center-back played 37 matches, logging a total of 3,301 minutes and scoring seven goals. Ramos will publicly bid farewell to Sevilla on Tuesday, June 18, at 11:00 AM in the press room of "Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan" stadium, accompanied by club president José María del Nido Carrasco.

"Sevilla thanks Sergio Ramos for his dedication, leadership, and commitment throughout this season and wishes him success in his next professional club," the Spanish club stated.

Sergio Ramos is leaving the club as a free agent.

As a reminder, in early 2004, Sevilla's head coach Joaquín Caparrós promoted Ramos to the first team. The defender made his debut on February 1st in a La Liga match against Deportivo.

We previously reported that Ramos might move to one of the MLS teams. The Spanish defender traveled to the United States to explore his potential employers.
