The winter transfer window definitely has the potential to surprise fans.
Details: According to radio station Cadena Ser, 39-year-old Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, currently with Mexican side Monterrey, could join Manchester United as a free agent during this winter transfer window.
The Red Devils are said to be the leading contenders for the Spanish defender's signature, but much will depend on Ramos's financial demands.
Sergio Ramos's contract with Monterrey expires this month, and the player himself has decided not to extend his deal with the Mexican club.
Ramos joined Monterrey at the beginning of this year as a free agent after his contract with Sevilla ended. He has made 34 appearances for Monterrey, scoring 8 goals.
Ramos's transfer value is estimated at €1 million by Transfermarkt.
