The deal fell through due to Olympiacos' financial demands.

Details: According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United reached out to Greek side Olympiacos regarding the transfer of 18-year-old midfielder Christos Mouzakitis.

It is reported that the Red Devils offered the Greek giants €28 million, but their bid was firmly rejected as Olympiacos are unwilling to sell Mouzakitis for less than €40 million.

This season, the 18-year-old Mouzakitis has made 16 appearances for Olympiacos' first team, providing 2 assists. His dazzling and consistent performances at such a young age have drawn attention from many of the world's top clubs, including Real Madrid.

Mouzakitis' current contract with Olympiacos runs until 2030, and his market value is estimated at €15 million by Transfermarkt.
