Seoul police arrest individuals who blackmailed Tottenham star Son Heung-min
Tottenham captain Son Heung-min recently became the target of blackmailers who attempted to extort money from him. The South Korean forward turned to Seoul police, who quickly arrested the culprits, according to The Sun.
It was revealed that the suspects, a man and a woman, contacted Son and demanded money, claiming that the woman was pregnant by the football star. They threatened to expose him unless he paid them several hundred million dollars for their silence. Ultimately, Seoul police arrested both on suspicion of blackmail and extortion.
According to Son's legal representatives, the woman alleges that she had a relationship with the footballer in June, which resulted in her pregnancy.
It’s worth noting that the Korean striker does not currently have a family, though he has previously been linked to Korean pop singers Bang Min-ah and Yoo So-young. Back in 2019, Son publicly stated that he intended to postpone starting a family until after his football career.
Additionally, Son has made 44 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions this season, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists. On May 25, his team is set to face Manchester United in the Europa League final.
