Sensation! Hearn has made a statement about Devin Haney's next fight
Promoter Eddie Hearn has expressed his willingness to organize a fight between Australian Liam Paro (25-0, 15 KOs) and American Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs) for the WBC and IBF titles.
The bout is planned to take place in the super lightweight division.
Hearn envisions the fight happening in Australia, though Paro may first have to face mandatory IBF challenger Richardson Hitchins from the USA.
It's worth noting that Haney's last bout was in April, where he lost to Ryan Garcia by split decision. During the fight, Garcia knocked Haney down three times.
Additionally, the bout was mired in controversy due to Garcia's doping tests.
Paro, on the other hand, secured a unanimous decision victory over Subriel Matias in June, crowning him the new IBF super lightweight champion.
