The final match of La Liga's 13th round concluded with a stunning upset as Barcelona suffered a narrow away defeat to Real Sociedad.
As expected, Barcelona seized control from the first minutes, and in the 13th minute, Robert Lewandowski managed to find the back of the net. However, the goal was controversially disallowed by VAR, which mistakenly identified Lewandowski’s leg as offside rather than that of Real Sociedad defender Nayef Aguerd.
In the 33rd minute, Real Sociedad took the lead when Sheraldo Becker slipped past Jules Koundé and shot accurately into the bottom corner.
This marks only the second defeat for Barcelona in the current La Liga season. Hansi Flick's side leads Real Madrid by six points, but Madrid still has a game in hand.
