Senegal win their international friendly against Gambia
Score: 3-1
The Lions of Teranga have got their World Cup preparations off to a flying start with two wins during this international break.
Senegal secured a win against their Gambian neighbours. At the Stade Abdoulaye Wade on 31 March, Pape’s Thiaw men won 3-1. The first half was full of suspense, but Abdoulaye Seck eventually broke the deadlock for the Senegalese.
He found the net in stoppage time to give the Lions of Teranga the lead. After the break, Ibrahim Mbaye doubled the lead in the 47th minute before Lamine Camara scored Senegal’s third goal. Gambia pulled one back in the 51st minute through Omar Colley, but it was not enough to catch Senegal.
