Chelsea have taken the first step towards a potential signing of Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Details: According to journalist David Ornstein, the London club has already reached out to the Ghanaian player's camp to inquire about the terms of a possible deal and assess whether they can accelerate a transfer that was originally planned for the summer.
Semenyo is under contract with Bournemouth until 2030, with a £65 million release clause that can be triggered in January. Tottenham and Manchester United have previously shown interest, while Liverpool are also monitoring the situation closely.
If Bournemouth decide not to sell their star man this winter, the release clause will become available again in the next transfer window, potentially on more favorable terms for the buyer. Since joining the club in January 2023, Semenyo has made 106 appearances, scoring 30 goals and providing 13 assists, establishing himself as one of the team's key figures.
Reminder: Morgan Rogers could leave Aston Villa and join Chelsea in the summer of 2026.
