Sekhukhune United striker does not believe he is still paying football as his age suggest he should have long retired by now
Bradley Grobler does believe he is still playing professional football 18 years after making his professional football debut.
The Sekhukhune United striker is shocked he is still playing and banging goals at age 37. His longevity is envy for many as he made his PSL debut 18 years ago when he was still at defunct Platinum Stars.
This age bracket is one many in South Africa regard as that of ‘has been’ type of players.
"[Laughs] To be honest, no, I didn't think I'd be playing now," Grobler, the former SuperSport United marksman told KickOff.com.
"I actually spoke to Dean Furman the other day.
"He and Jeremy Brockie were always convinced I'd be the first one to retire [among the three of us], and here I am still going.
While many still struggle with football at his age, Grobler seems to be enjoying his game.
He has six league goals to his name so far this season and this is something that still impressive about the striker.
“So, look, the biggest thing is to have passion for the game,” he reveals his secret.
