Seema Confident Ahead of Sekhukhune’s Clash with Sundowns

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema believes his team can challenge Mamelodi Sundowns when they meet at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night.

Despite Sundowns leading the league with 48 points from 18 matches, Seema remains optimistic about securing a positive result. "We lost the first leg, but we are capable of winning this time. We won’t just throw in the towel," he stated.

However, many football fans doubt Babina Noko’s chances against the reigning champions. "Once you talk confidently before facing Sundowns, it’s over," said one supporter, while another warned, "No team has survived after speaking like this."

Meanwhile, Sekhukhune is facing controversy over Shaune Mogaila, who was involved in a fatal car accident last October. The victim’s family has denied giving the club consent for his return, contradicting Seema’s claim that they had.

Mogaila, who was reportedly under the influence during the accident, scored a match-winning goal against Chippa United. His court case for culpable homicide is set for May 19, 2025.

Sekhukhune will also be without Sipho Mbule, who is suspended for this crucial match.
