"See you in 2026" – Trent Alexander-Arnold confirms he won't play again this year
The Real Madrid and England defender has been left deeply upset after suffering yet another injury setback.
Details: Earlier today, a post appeared on Trent Alexander-Arnold's official Instagram page, where the player announced he would not be able to help his team again this year—a fact he deeply regrets:
"I'm absolutely devastated by this. The timing couldn't be worse, but I'll work tirelessly to come back stronger and better! See you in 2026, Madridistas." Trent wrote.
Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid this summer from Liverpool for €10 million, but has managed to make just 16 appearances for Los Blancos, providing 3 assists. This succession of injuries has taken a toll on Trent's mental state, further complicating his already tough adjustment to life in Madrid.
Previously, Liverpool fans booed Alexander-Arnold during the match against Real Madrid, feeling betrayed by his move.
Trent's contract with Real runs until 2031, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value is €75 million.
Reminder: Real Madrid announce Trent’s injury. What happened and how long is he out?
