Real Madrid announce Trent’s injury. What happened and how long is he out?
In their latest La Liga fixture, Real Madrid travelled to Athletic Bilbao and swept their opponents aside with a commanding 3–0 victory. But the win came with a downside for Los Blancos.
Details: Trent Alexander-Arnold picked up an injury, and Real Madrid have now officially confirmed that the full-back has been diagnosed with a strain of the left rectus femoris, part of the quadriceps muscle group. He will undergo a recovery process under medical supervision.
According to Arancha Rodríguez, Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to be sidelined for two months, meaning he will not feature again in 2025.
This was only the Englishman’s 11th appearance for Real Madrid this season. He had recently registered his first assist for the club in Spain’s La Liga.
Reminder: Kylian Mbappé scored for Real Madrid in the match against Athletic, a goal that put him level with Cristiano Ronaldo for the number of goals scored in a single calendar year.
