Security measures will be increased at the Copa America 2024 final

To minimize the risk of another scandal similar to the one between Uruguay and Colombia, security measures will be increased for the match between Argentina and Colombia, and a separate section will be designated for the players' families.
Following the incident in the semifinal between Uruguay and Colombia, where Uruguayan players clashed with Néstor Lorenzo's team's fans in the stands, CONMEBOL decided to implement serious security measures for the Copa America final.
The highest authority in South American football, which recently faced criticism from Marcelo Bielsa over the organization of the tournament and the condition of the fields, aims to prevent another unfortunate scene in front of the world during the match where Argentina will compete for the championship title. Thus, certain preventive measures have been taken.
Firstly, it is known that there will be more police officers both around the field and in the stands of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to better control the situation and avoid any potential conflicts.
Secondly, the families of the players, who were affected in the semifinal (according to Uruguayan defender José María Giménez), will be allocated a new, more secluded and secure section in the stadium, so they do not mix with the rest of the fans.
