Season over? Reece James sidelined with serious injury
Bad news for the Blues' coaching staff and supporters.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, referencing renowned journalist Simon Johnson, 26-year-old Chelsea captain and defender Reece James is set to be out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury.
It's reported that there is no official timetable for James's recovery yet, as he still needs to undergo further medical examinations. However, in the worst-case scenario, James could be sidelined for up to two months, which might prematurely end the season for the London club's right-back.
At this stage, it's confirmed that James will definitely miss the match against PSG, as well as England's national team fixtures.
This season, Reece James has played 36 matches for Chelsea, scoring 2 goals and providing 7 assists. Last week, he signed a new contract with Chelsea until 2032, and his market value is estimated at €60 million by Transfermarkt.
