Sead Ramovic's CR Belouizdad sinks Stellenbosch FC in a Caf Confederation Cup in Cape Town as the Algerian's beat Stellies 3-0 to top Group C

Mohamed Hamouda, Abdennour Belhocini and Ismael Abbacci ensured Sead Ramovic’s CR Belouizdad bury Stellenbosch FC’s hopes of upsetting them.

The trio scored the goals for the Algerian side in their Caf Confederation Cup match at Cape Town Stadium today.

Stellies entered the 2010 World Cup venue well aware that they are trailing 2-0 from the reverse fixture which was played in Algeria’s Nelson Mandela Stadium, a week ago today.

Expectation was that the Cape Winelands club will be cause an upset and bring back their Confederation Cup knockout stage hopes alive.

It was not to be as the North Africans were clinical in front of goals and looked to be solid at the back.

The loss brings Stellies chances of a knockout stage in huge doubt.

They are now bottom of Group C with four points equal with third placed Singida Black Stars.

Belouizdad are tops with nine.

Next week travel to Otoho in Congo-Brazzaville.
