Scott Parker is preparing for life without Lyle Foster at Burnley.

The Burnley coach is likely to be without his striker and two other African-born players for the duration of two months during the Africa Cup of Nations.

Depending on how Bafana progresses in the spectacle, Parker may be without his dependable striker for the duration of two months should Bafana reach the final. The tournament starts on 21 December until 18 January 2026.

Foster was an unused substitute yesterday when Burnley lost 3-2 to West Ham United.

Parker will also miss defender Alex Tuanzebe who is from Democratic Republic of Congo and Hannibal Mejbri from Tunisia for Afcon.

“It’ll be difficult,” Parker told told Burnley Express.

“It’s not ideal obviously, but of course it’s a big competition that just falls at this time of the year.

“We’ll have to look at that and take that into consideration, certainly regarding January as well.

“But like I said, we’ve got a big squad and people have to come in for that.”

Foster is expected to touch down at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo airport today. He is part of the Bafana squad to face Zambia this Friday in a friendly international.
