Boniface faces a tough decision ahead.
Details: According to BILD, 25-year-old Nigerian forward Victor Boniface, currently on loan at Werder Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen, is once again struggling with serious knee issues and is now forced to undergo surgery.
Reports indicate that the situation is dire—if Boniface doesn't opt for surgery now, his future career will hang in the balance.
Boniface joined Werder on a season-long loan this summer. However, if he does proceed with the operation, it will effectively end his stint in Bremen and prematurely close the season for the Nigerian forward.
Last summer, Boniface was at the center of controversy when he was on the verge of signing with AC Milan, but the Rossoneri pulled out of the transfer at the last moment after examining Boniface’s knee just hours before the contract was set to be signed.
This season, Boniface has made 11 appearances for Werder, providing 2 assists. His market value is estimated at 12 million euros by Transfermarkt.
