Scandal in the tunnel! Real Madrid stars staged a covert sabotage attempt before the La Liga match

Another major scandal involving the leaders of the Madrid superclub erupted even before the opening whistle.

Details: A serious controversy erupted before the sixth-round La Liga clash between Elche and Real Madrid, involving several key figures from Los Blancos. Cameras in the tunnel at the Martínez Valero stadium captured Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior demonstrating to Kylian Mbappé exactly how to fold the special shirt so that the slogan printed on it would not be visible to the public.

The shirts were part of an official social solidarity campaign organized in support of the Spanish city of Ceuta. Players from both teams were expected to walk onto the pitch wearing commemorative shirts bearing the slogan Todos somos caballas (We are all caballas — the traditional nickname for people from Ceuta). However, while the rest of Real Madrid’s players and the Elche squad lined up in front of the stands with the message clearly visible, Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappé and defender Ibrahima Konaté folded their shirts across the chest to completely conceal the text.

What is more, the star forwards rushed to remove their shirts immediately after stepping onto the pitch, doing so before any of their teammates. Footage from the tunnel quickly spread across Spanish media and social networks, sparking a wave of outrage among fans who saw the gesture as a blatant sign of disrespect toward the charitable initiative.

It is worth noting that despite the incident before kickoff, Real Madrid secured a 3-2 away victory over Elche. This season, José Mourinho’s side continue their fierce battle for the La Liga title, doing everything they can to keep pace with runaway leaders Barcelona.
