Enzo Fernández found himself at the centre of one of the strangest moments of Manchester City's Champions League clash with PSG.

Details: During one of City's attacks, Abdukodir Khusanov attempted to find Fernández with a pass, but the referee unexpectedly ended up directly in the Argentine midfielder's path. Unable to receive the ball normally, Enzo immediately reacted and pushed the official in the back as he continued the move.

The unusual episode was caught on video and quickly attracted attention: Fernández did not stop to argue with the referee and immediately returned his focus to the game. The official, for his part, did not turn the incident into a major confrontation.

The match itself turned into a difficult evening for Manchester City. PSG produced a devastating start at the Etihad and eventually secured a 4-2 victory in the Champions League league phase.

It is worth noting that Fernández only joined Manchester City from Chelsea at the beginning of September 2026. The Argentine midfielder signed a five-year contract with the Citizens, keeping him at the Etihad until the summer of 2031.

Reminder: How did he miss that? Haaland fails to score into an empty net against PSG
