Scaloni Set to Call Up Three Argentina-Based Players for June Qualifiers


Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni will include three domestic league players in the national squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Colombia, according to TN. While none were listed in the initial call-up, recent reports revealed that Kevin Lomónaco, Juan Nardoni, and Franco Mastantuono will join the team.
Lomónaco, a standout center-back for Independiente, has impressed fans with his form. Nardoni, a dynamic midfielder for Racing, has been a consistent performer under coach Gustavo Costas. Meanwhile, Mastantuono, the 17-year-old River Plate talent, has excelled with the U-20s and is set for his senior debut.
Journalist Leo Paradizo also noted that Gonzalo Montiel and Germán Pezzella could return to the squad. Argentina will visit Chile in Santiago on June 5, followed by a home match against Colombia at El Monumental on June 10.
