Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is close to finalizing a new fight agreement

Undisputed super middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is close to finalizing a fight against Edgar Berlanga.

According to insider Mike Coppinger, negotiations are already in the final stages, with the fight scheduled to take place on September 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. On the same night in Las Vegas, UFC 306 will be held at The Sphere, with the main event likely being a bout between Merab Dvalishvili and champion Sean O’Malley.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the undisputed super middleweight world champion, successfully defended his title by defeating his compatriot Jaime Munguia on the night of May 4th to 5th.

"Canelo" maintained an advantage throughout the bout, yet the fight extended all twelve rounds, requiring judges to determine the winner. The referees unanimously awarded the victory to the reigning champion.
