Saudi airline Riyadh Air is aiming to acquire 100% ownership of Atlético Madrid.

Details: In recent years, Atlético's relationship with Saudi Arabia has grown stronger. Riyadh Air is the club's official title sponsor, and there are also discussions that the company may soon acquire naming rights to the club's stadium.

According to El Independiente, the Saudi company has shown interest in becoming full owners of the club in the coming years.

It is reported that the Saudi government has already inquired about the terms of a potential deal, should Atlético's CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, decide to sell his shares.

Currently, Gil Marín has no plans to step down, meaning Riyadh Air will not be able to take full control of the club's shares for now.

To recall: It was previously reported that Atlético rejected an offer from Real Madrid to host concerts at their stadium.
