Saudi obstacle for Catalonia! João Félix's return to Barcelona at risk
Barcelona's plans to bring Portuguese forward João Félix back to Camp Nou have encountered an unexpected obstacle in the form of Saudi giants Al-Hilal.
Details: According to renowned insider Ekrem Konur, the Riyadh-based powerhouse is determined to keep the 26-year-old winger in the Middle Eastern league. Al-Hilal's hierarchy is closely monitoring the Portuguese star's contractual situation and is ready to commit significant financial resources to prevent his move to Spain's La Liga.
João Félix joined Al-Hilal's arch-rivals Al-Nassr in July 2025, and his current contract runs until June 2027. Although the player has repeatedly spoken warmly about his time in the Catalan capital, the financial power of Saudi clubs leaves Barcelona's ambitions in a vulnerable position.
It is worth noting that João Félix played for Barcelona on loan during the 2023/24 season, making 44 official appearances for the Catalan giants in all competitions and recording 10 goals and 6 assists.
