Arsenal's title-winning squad is about to face its biggest Saudi test yet.

Details: Fabrizio Romano reports that Al Hilal have made official club-to-club contact with Arsenal for Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian winger has opened the door to the Saudi Pro League side and currently ranks ahead of two other options, Pedro Neto and Francisco Conceicao, on their shortlist.

The timing makes sense for everyone: Martinelli lost his starting spot after Christos Tzolis arrived and managed just one goal in the Premier League last season, while his contract runs into its final year. Arsenal are demanding around €70 million, and the 25-year-old, who rejected Galatasaray earlier this summer, is now reportedly open to the Saudi adventure.

Martinelli joined Arsenal from Ituano in 2019 as a teenager and became a Premier League champion last season, adding 5 goals in 27 caps for Brazil. It's worth noting that Al Hilal already signed Summerville this summer, so landing the Brazilian would give Simone Inzaghi's side arguably the strongest left flank in Asian football.

Reminder: Rumors dispelled! Arteta makes emphatic statement on Arsenal star's future.
