Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who is currently owned by Chelsea, made a surprising statement about the Saudi Arabian league.
“Saudi Arabia wouldn't stop me. The level will only rise there. To a much higher level than many people think. More and more footballers will tend to play there. All the major European top clubs know that: Saudi Arabia is coming”, HLN quotes Lukaku.
This summer, Lukaku is set to change clubs. Napoli is the favorite to acquire him, where he could reunite with Antonio Conte. Chelsea is ready to sell the Belgian for 38 million euros.
Last summer, Lukaku was linked with clubs from Saudi Arabia, but he eventually moved on loan to Roma, where he scored 21 goals in 47 matches of the season.
Previously, another legendary Belgian, Kevin De Bruyne, hinted at a potential move to the Saudi Arabian league.
