On 13 September, Maurizio Sarri will be six months since his resignation as Lazio head coach and in those six months he has not found a new club. But, as the ex-Chelsea coach assures, it will happen very soon.

The 65-year-old claims that he has plenty of desire to work, as his teammates are still in the profession and reaching great heights:

‘With the start of the new season, my desire to be in it, to be back on the pitch, has become even stronger. Hopefully, until January. It will depend on the situation, on the offers I get, on the motivation. On the call that will give me more adrenaline.

I don't see myself in the last dance. I still want to coach and I think I'm in a position to give something. It's true that youth is in fashion now, but last year three European Cups were won by coaches of my age: Ancelotti in the Champions League, Gasperini in the Europa League and Mendilibar in the Conference League. The same goes for De la Fuente, coach of the European champion with the Spanish national team,’ Sarri said in a conversation with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Recall, in the summer, the 65-year-old specialist could find himself in the Greek Panathinaikos.
