Bayern Munich is struggling to reach an agreement on a new contract with Leroy Sané and appears to have already lined up his replacement.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, Brighton midfielder Kaoru Mitoma has given the green light to a move to Bayern. The German club has shown strong interest in the Japanese international and sees him as a potential replacement for either Sané or Coman.
A meeting with the player's representatives has already taken place, though Bayern has yet to make an official offer to Brighton. The club's next steps will depend on the situation surrounding Florian Wirtz.
Earlier reports indicated that Bayern highly values Mitoma's playing qualities, which could be an ideal fit for Vincent Kompany's style. While formal negotiations have not yet begun, if talks do open, the Bundesliga champions are expected to pay a transfer fee in the region of 40–45 million euros.
Reminder: The 28-year-old, whose contract runs until June 30, 2027, has made 40 appearances this season, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists.
