Bayern targets another transfer from a Premier League mid-table side

Last summer, Bayern Munich pulled off a transfer from one of the Premier League’s less illustrious clubs, signing midfielder João Palhinha from Fulham. So far, he has yet to fully meet the club’s expectations, but the newly crowned German champions are ready to test their luck again.
Details: According to Tobi Altschäffl, the record champions have set their sights on Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma. Previously, Mitoma had been linked with a move to Liverpool, but the English champions have yet to make a concrete offer.
Bayern, for their part, have been impressed by the Japanese international’s skill set, believing he could be a perfect fit for Vincent Kompany’s tactical vision. No negotiations have taken place yet, but if talks do begin, the German champions should expect to pay in the region of €40-45 million—the price Brighton have set for their star winger.
Reminder: The 28-year-old, whose contract runs until June 30, 2027, made 40 appearances this season, tallying 11 goals and three assists.
