Salah is in great shape and setting records in preseason endurance tests
Mohamed Salah continues to showcase outstanding physical form and has set a new record in preseason endurance tests.
With the arrival of new manager Arne Slot at Anfield, new fitness tests have been introduced. The well-known lactate test, previously conducted by Jürgen Klopp and often won by James Milner, has been replaced by new challenges. Salah seems to have filled this gap, displaying exceptional results in the new six-minute running test (6MRT), now preferred by Slot and his team.
In this exercise, players are required to cover as much distance as possible in six minutes on a 400-meter track. According to The Athletic, Salah, who returned to training after participating in international matches, surpassed the initial record set by Sepp van den Berg.
Fitness coach Conall Murtagh described the 32-year-old Salah's physical condition as "phenomenal." This successful start to training has pleased both Slot and Liverpool fans, demonstrating Salah’s serious commitment to the upcoming season, despite not having signed a new contract with the club.
